To the Cookson family. I am very sorry to learn that you have lost your mother. I always enjoyed our parent -teacher meetings. Of course, there were never any problems to discuss! She was a lovely lady. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

We are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and worked tirelessly in her church for as long as she was able. I remember well her storytelling in Neighborhood Bible Time, Awana and Sunday School and her love for the boys and girls. She was a wonderful lady to work with in ministry and a great encouragement to me as a young pastors wife.
Her friendship to Mom was extra special as well. I know Mom considered her one of her best friends.
If we were talking about a situation or person that Mom couldn’t remember the details of, mom would always say, “ I’ll call Ella. She’ll remember!”
I’m thankful for the childhood AND adult memories of your dear mom ( and dad) throughout the years!
What a joy that you’ll all be together again one day soon, and that we have this blessed hope of eternity with Jesus through His sacrifice for us! I don’t know how people cope with death, who don’t have this wonderful salvation!
We would love to have come to the funeral, but had to be away on Tuesday. We’re praying for you all, and will continue! Sending love and prayer,
Terry and Mary Woodcock

Ella was an amazing lady who loved the Lord and shared Christ with others. She was instrumental in my salvation and had a great influence on me as a young man. She was a caring Sunday school teacher and a family friend to all of us in the Brewer household. Her humor and love was glowing and now she can laugh and talk to Ted once again. Love you Ella, welcome home. Deep condolences and prayers to family and friends as we remember this adorable lady.

My deepest condolences to the family of Ella Cookson, and yes I consider myself a part of that family. Ella was my sister-in-law, a sister of my late husband, Bob. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. My memories are of family get togethers, but probably my most favorite are of times I got to listen to stories and shenanigans of early times in Stanley and area. Ted, Ella's late husband could tell stories, plus Bob, their sister Marg and her late husband Carl. Now I can't remember these stories, but I remember the sound of laughter and joy in their faces as they recalled these stories, their happiness brought joy to my heart as well. I wish we had the presence of mind to write these stories down. I'm sure some of them were priceless!
As time went on and we got older or for one reason or another we didn't visit as often, there was the occasional phone call between brother and sister. When their parents were alive, if you needed to know anything about history of family or people, you called them, which also served as catch up time. When their parents passed, then it was Ella you called. She had the knowledge or if she didn't know , she would look it up or find out.
Ella was a beautiful person inside and out.
Even though I wasn't a great communicator, I will miss you!! Eileen

Dear Margie and Carl , .My heartfelt condolences to you and your children and grandchildren. --I was just recalling now that when I was hospitalized in DECH in 2010 ,and, when I awoke back in my room , in a fog, from surgery--there sitting watch 0 in the chair in my room- was Ella--just like the nurse she had dreamed of being in the predictions in her high school yearbook. We loved her ,and she will be fondly remembered and dearly missed, Annie

To Kathy, Tina, Anne, and Robert and your Spouses, and, the Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren-as well as Ella* s many Friends and extended Family. We send our deepest condolences and love from Shirley(Bill) and me. Ella was a very Special, and respected member of our Family. Ella was someone that we turned to -- for Family history . You always finished a chat with Ella, feeling a smile on your face , because Ella would have shared a chuckle, or a good laugh with you. .. .Memories of Ella begin from my early childhood in Tay Falls, where our two farms were adjoining and there was a path through the fields and woods to connect us. Later, when I lived in Stanley ,I loved 2 glorious weeks each summer, when I visited and shared the fun of vacation with Ella, Marg, and Bob , and Aunt Winnie and Uncle Mac. ..When Ella was in high school in Stanley, she and I walked Stanley hill each Thursday night, to attend Young People s Group, at St. Peter*s Presbyterian Manse. My last visit in Sept. 2019 at her home, involved a good chat ,where we enjoyed a cup of tea, and Ella*s good humor. Ella was loved, and we share your sorrow, at her passing. .Sincerely Annie Mac Kinnon and Shirley Mac Kinnon
