Obituary of Robert Joseph Barron

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Joseph Barron announce his sudden passing at his home in Porter Cove, NB, on Friday, June 14, 2024. Born on July 30th, 1962, in Fredericton NB, he was the son of the late Michael A. and Shirley A. (nee Peacock) Barron.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Erika (John) Hogan; his four grandchildren, Jackson, Charles, Adrian and Blake of Fall River, NS; brother and sisters, Michael Barron of Toronto, Ontario, Anne (Michael) Falk of Sarasota, FL and Adrienne (Edward) Keyes of Saint John, NB. Robert also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael A. and Shirley A. (nee Peacock) Barron; his brother, Danny Barron; his niece, Sara Barron; and canine companions, Molly and James.
Robert followed in his father’s footsteps working as an insulator for many years in the family business, Maritime Insulation, before starting his own company. He will be fondly remembered for his love of the outdoors, salmon fishing on the Miramichi River and spending time at the camp/barn at Porter Cove with his friends. Robert cared deeply for both canines and felines and assisted CARMA in rescuing and fostering many stray cats in the Boiestown NB area. He will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton NB. At Robert’s request there will not be a funeral service. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. A celebration of life will take place July 24th, 2024 from 6pm - 9 pm at St James Gate, West Hills Golf Course,Fredericton, NB. Donations in Robert’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Fredericton Chapter of CARMA would be appreciated by the family.
