Buchanan, Sandra Elizabeth

The passing of Sandra Elizabeth Buchanan of Fredericton, NB, wife of Richard Melbourne Buchanan, occurred on May 5, 2024 at Hospice Fredericton.  Born on December 26, 1948 in Sussex, NB, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth E. (Bustin) and Joseph M. Williamson. Sandra worked as an Assistant Manger at the Bank of Montreal. She spent most her time gardening and enjoyed being outdoors. She loved her family above everything else. She was great at crossword puzzles and enjoyed playing crib.

The family of Sandra would like to express thanks to her doctors, Dr. Frenette, Dr. Parker, and Dr. Hanson, and extreme gratitude to the nurses at Hospice Fredericton for making Sandras last days comfortable.

Besides her husband, Richard, Sandra is survived by daughter, Tammy Mullin (Scott Hachey) of Fredericton; grandsons, Cole Hachey (Janelle), Zach Hachey, Grady Hachey, Gabe Hachey; great-granddaughter, Adeline Hachey; step-daughter, Angela Murphy (Shawn) of Geary; sister, Betty Copeland (Bob) of Ottawa; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her three brothers, Russell, Eugene, and Robert.

Interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
