Obituary of Greg Stairs
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory (Greg) David Stairs, of
Greg was a Red Seal Chef at CFB Gagetown, where his culinary skills greatly impressed all who had the pleasure of tasting his dishes. His passion for cooking was just one aspect of his adventurous spirit. A man of many interests, Greg was an active member of the Rusagonis ATV Club. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for fishing, hunting, and ATVing. He also had a passion for motorcycles and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.
His life was a testament to the idea that people will never forget how you made them feel, as he was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was cooking for a good cause, helping friends move, or fixing things. Greg's strong work ethic and consistent effort in all endeavors made him beloved by all who knew him.
Greg leaves behind his loving wife, Jen Stairs; his parents, Connie and David Stairs; his brothers, Bobby (Tanya) and Kirk Stairs; his mother-in-law, Ardith Armstrong (Dana); several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; chosen family members, Bill and Louise Morrison; and his and Jen’s beloved Aussies, Cricket, Kamo, and Gage.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services at this time. Those who wish to honor Greg’s memory can make a donation to the SPCA or a charity of their choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
Greg’s presence in our lives will be sorely missed, but his warmth and kindness will be remembered forever. We find comfort in knowing that he is now in God’s hands. Rest in peace, dear Greg, until we meet again. We love you and will miss you greatly.
In Loving Memory
Greg Stairs
