My sister Anne embraced each new stage of her lives with poise and elegance.
Always daughter to Florine and Léonce, sister Anne met Gary and became a spouse.
They had 3 lovely sons, Chris, Blake and Ted, and she became a mother.
Blake had his own son, and Anne became a grandmother.
She never let go of one stage of her life for the next, she just added to it, and included us all, family and friends … with poise and elegance …
She is so dearly missed ...

Gary, Ted, Blake & Chris,
I am heartbroken to learn of Anne's passing. She was such a bright and welcoming person. I can still hear her laugh. So many fond memories at the lake, with delicious Sunday dinners, and a special time at the cherished PEI cottage. Her spirit was contagious, and I know it will live on in each of you and in those whose lives she touched. Thinking of you all.

We were very saddened to hear of Anne's passing and sorry to miss the visitation and funeral while we were away. Anne was lovely. I remember her fondly from days on Reid St. (especially as a good babysitter) and from catch-ups now and then, normally at music events. Our sincere condolences to Gary and sons, and Marc, Paul and Jacques and families for her too early death.

Our deepest condolences to Gary, Chris, Blake, Ted and their families. We have known the family since Chris was in Grade 1 at Kingsclear Consolidated Elementary School. Anne and Michele were on Parents for Kingsclear together and worked on many Halloween Fun Days and class trips. Once the kids started ski racing, I remember too many pots of chili, sandwiches and sweets made for race day. Anne managed to always find the warmer lunch serving lunch tasks; she was smart enough to avoid gate keeping assignments. New Year's Eve games night with all the kids in our house were another treasured memory. And remember the themed dinners; the best being the decades (food and dress from the decade of the month). Wish I would have had photos of them! Anne was a natural at making everything fun and she had the smile to make everyone else smile too!
I hope these memories of happier time provide some comfort. Anne helped make them happen.

Sending heartfelt condolences to all of the Hawkins and Chenard family members and Anne’s many, many friends who are all grieving this sad and premature loss.
The obituary beautifully captures the essence of Anne. Having come to know her and Gary and the “kids” through Sherry and Marc, I was privileged to experience her kindness and beautiful smile on many occasions. She was always so genuinely interested in others that she made everyone feel special and that’s a gift.
A favourite memory is when Sherry and Anne travelled to visit me on Vancouver Island. It was such fun exploring the area with them both and the best part was revelling in lots of great chats and “girl time”. It was wonderful to get to know Anne so much better. I will miss her dearly.
Anne was a fabulous cook and generously shared her skills whether she and Gary were hosting at their home - which they did so seemingly effortlessly, the two of them working together in wordless harmony born of years of being together and a very deep and obvious love for one another - or contributing to family pot luck dinners.
Another favourite memory of mine was just last February when I was visiting Dad in Fredericton while Sherry and Marc were off on vacation. Anne and Gary had Dad and me out to their place for dinner, where they prepared us a truly fabulous meal, the crowning glory of which was Anne’s homemade cheesecake (my favourite flavour). It was such a kindness in the midst of a bleak February when we were still exercising great caution due to Covid, therefore venturing out very little - but such was Anne’s kindness and sensitivity. It was an unusual dynamic, just we four, and Dad and I had such fun. Dad smiled and laughed more that night than I’d seen in awhile. Attached is a photo of that night, which now evokes an even more precious memory.
To know Anne was to know that she loved Gary and her boys with every cell of her being. The glow of that love spread to family and friends and warmed every one of us. She will always be remembered for her kindness, her love and her beautiful smile and that is a truly beautiful legacy.
I don’t have words to address the unspeakable pain that I know the family is feeling. I can only say that I am so very sorry. I wish you all strength and healing and the awareness of the continuing presence of Anne’s love for you. One day at a time.

Gary, we were so very sorry to read of Anne’s passing. Tim and I have been thinking of you and your family all week and wanted you to know that we are keeping you close in our thoughts and prayers. From the time we met as teenagers, Anne showed her friends a heart full of love. Through the years, whenever we connected with you both, she was always the same- funny, kind, sweet and smart. And that smile- it lit up the room and made everyone around her smile too. We know that you, the kids, the Chenards and so many others will dearly miss her. How lucky we all were to have known her. Although we can’t be there, we just wanted you to know that we are sending love your way.

Our deepest condolences to Gary, Chris, Blake, Ted (Alexa), Landon and to Annes’s brothers and their families. Anne passing leaves so many broken hearts, and beautiful memories of all who were blessed to have shared in her life. Mac and I will always remember the wonderful times raising our “Hawkins” brood together. From new babies to birthday parties, school days, times on “the creek” and the many sporting events that found our families together Anne was always a joy to be around. She was well known on the street for hosting hoades of kids for Annual Halloween parties and had such a welcoming home. A couple of the fondest memories is the time we spent together in PEI and meeting up with them in Orlando. As our families grew and started having children of their own, Anne always stayed in contact wanting frequent updates on everyone. She would often call just to “catch up” and had such a genuine interest in others. I will miss those phone calls. One memory that we will always cherish is our Hawkins Family Reunion that we held last September. Anne, Gary and family were there helping us host and were such a big part of the event and her smile shown so bright. We will forever carry Anne in our Hearts.
