Obituary of Michael Richard Long

LONG, MICHAEL RICHARD

March 26, 1955 – January 22, 2024

Michael “Mike” Long died peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on January 22, 2024.  He was born in Fredericton on March 26, 1955 to the late Walter and Irene Long. 

 

Mike leaves behind his two daughters, Wendy (Doug) and Carrie; brothers, Forrest (Patsy) and Russ; sister-in-law, Karen; along with several nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Will and his brother, Danny. 

 

Mike spent most of his life in the Fredericton area though he did venture out to Alberta for a few years.  When he wasn’t running his electrical business, he loved spending time outdoors fishing in the spring and summer, snowmobiling in the winter, or traveling around the Maritimes with his brothers. 

 

There will be no visitation or funeral.  A Private family burial will be held at Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
