My most sincere and deepest condolences go out to Moe, Joan, Vicki, Abby Emma and the rest of the Englehart family.
No words can express the sorrow felt by this profound loss.
There are so many great memories since I first met Kenny in the summer of 1985, and Kenny has been a dear friend ever since. My memories of Kenny were always full of love, laughter, fun, and friendship.
Kenny was kind, funny, fun and loved his family more than anything. It was his greatest source of joy.
He will be sorely missed by those who loved him and his memory will be in our hearts forever.
So As we would so often say to each other, after spending time together, and saying goodbye …”Until next time, Love you Brother”

I grew up with Kenny in Southwood Park. Bus rides to school were never boring :) Everyone used to meet up at the tennis courts and the wading pool and Kenny was no exception. Everyone would talk for hours. The Southwood Park Crew was tight knit.
Fast forward to adult hood and I still had the pleasure of getting to regularly chat with Kenny, as I coached his daughter in Gymnastics. Small world. Kenny was so proud of his children and his career. He had an unmatched enthusiasm and energy, it was infectious. My heart goes out to his family.

My heartfelt condolences to Kenny's family. I knew Kenny all throughout my childhood and teen years growing up in the "hood" (Southwood Park). Hanging out at the tennis courts and the wading pool where everyone gathered.
Than I had the pleasure of knowing Kenny as an adult when I coached his daughter (Abby) in gymnastics. Abby was such a breath of fresh air, positive, energetic and so well brought up. Fantastic job parenting Kenny!!! I was fortunate enough to have regular chats with Kenny about his daughters progress in gymnastics and when she later began coaching gymnasts, when Kenny would pop in to say hi. Kenny would beam when talking about Abby, their bond was so strong.
I will remember fondly these chats at the Nashwalksis Field house and what an amazing parent he was.

I had the honour, and privilege, of working side-by-side with Kenny ever since he began working with us here at UNB, ever so many years ago. Over that time, he became more than just a skilled & integral colleague, he became a friend; someone who's advice, humour, and sharp wit, became an integral part of one's fabric of daily life.
Kenny was someone who, no matter what the situation nor timing, would always be willing (and happy!) to lend you an empathetic, understanding, and thoughtful ear to one's own worries, trials, and tribulations, no matter how large or small they were. You always left the conversation, feeling like some unseen burden, had been quietly lifted off of your shoulders. Over those years though, Kenny ultimately taught me a very important thing: Life is a gift; live it! Live it to the fullest every single day; and never, even for a moment, take those who matter to you for granted. You never know when a casual "see you next time", may be your last moment with them.. That lesson is a gift, and is one that will endure.
He is, and will, be sorely & irreplaceably missed.

My heart goes out to the family and friends who's life Kenny touched. This very sad news was quite a shock for myself and others who have unfortunately been out of touch with Kenny for too many years. I am not sure if he ever mentioned it, but Kenny was an integral part of the 1986 FHS Football Championship Team (the first ever in school history). I believe I can speak for many on our team to say how much laughter, competitiveness and motivation Kenny brought to the team that year. Personally, he and his family were incredibly gracious, generous, and supportive to a kid with an unpredictable future going in their final year of High School.
It is hard to describe in words how one loved Kenny as a friend. He was just alway so unselfish, accepting and open hearted.
I only have such great memories of our magical graduation year, and those close after. I am very thankful Kenny was a part of my life, even if it was for a short time. He made a difference in mine...David Knott

When you have been friends with someone for over 40 years, there are so many wonderful memories. A few are definitely imprinted in my mind. Hanging out at the O'Leary's (Tammy & Scott) when we were kids. They lived across the street from his house in Southwood Park. Building forts in the woods behind the old tennis courts. Playing spin the bottle in the tent when Angie & I were having a sleepover in my yard. My dad heard us and yelled out the window and scared Kenny & Scott away. Fast forward 10 years to trips to PEI in my pickup truck. Living in the same house on Saunders St and doing dumb stuff, like skiing down the back stairs. We were roommates again when we went to NBCC in Moncton. There are a lot of fun memories from that time as well. Kenny was a very clean and tidy roommate, and he always shared the food he got from Joan when we came home on weekends. We all hung out a lot when he and the guys lived on Needham St and Charlotte St. Fast forward again to 2005-2006. I was living back in NB after living in BC a few years. I got to reconnect with my friend Kenny thanks to an FHS website where you could find classmates. This was way before Facebook haha. We were both going through separation and divorce around the same time, and we helped each other navigate that by being there for each other when the kids all needed a little extra attention. Camping trips, sleepovers, bonfires whatever the kids needed. The kids happiness and security was all that mattered to Kenny, and we helped each other figure that out. Fast forward to 2010ish I get a text from Kenny one day asking me if I know a Vicki Parker. He met her online and is going on a date with her. Well it just so happens that I did indeed know who Vicki Parker was, and that she is wonderful, and a great match for him. I told him he definitely has to go on a date with her. The rest as they say is history. You know you have a true friend when days, weeks, months or even years can go by without talking to each other. But when you reconnect, it's like time stood still and you pick up right where you left off. I will miss you my friend, until we get to pickup where we left off.

The words that come to mind to describe Kenny when I remember and recall the 'good ol' days' at FHS and beyond: kind, caring, fun, mischievous, and an old soul. He was one of the guys at school that you trusted and could rely on and you just felt good in his presence. I still remember a summer evening when we were out at a friend's cottage a couple years after high school, and he and Richard (Cleveland) were there. After a few beers, Kenny and I decided it would be a great time to do some old gymnastics tricks. While we were still able to tumble, my whole body was sore the following days and we thought we were getting old then...Years later, to see him and say hello was like no time had past and he was someone you felt good talking to and left a conversation with a skip in your step. He was just one of those people that left an imprint on you. My heart goes out to everyone today, in the days and time to come. Sincere condolences for your profound loss. May his spirit live on in you.

There are no words to express how deeply sorry I was to hear of Kenny's passing. As a teenager and Kim's sidekick, I had the privilege of making some great memories with Kenny and the Englehart family growing up. Kenny's zest for life, laughter and fun was contagious. His kind heart, his ability to listen and make you feel heard, along with his intense loyalty to his sisters and brother are what I remember most. When I think of him, I will always picture that mischievous smile, the kindness in his eyes and his genuine heart.
Sending you all my love and heartfelt condolences.

Ken was a great man and friend, and the brother I never had. Whenever anything was worrying me or upsetting, he would look at me with that half grin and one raised eyebrow, and say, "stuff happens", although he didn't use the word stuff lol. And I would feel better. He was a wonderful brother to kim, and I know they were best friends. And I always appreciated that.
Thanks for always being a good friend and brother in law.
