Obituary of Eva Helen Taylor

The family of Eva Helen Taylor (Whittaker) sadly announce her passing at the home of her sister, Nora Sowers of Fredericton, N.B. on December 28, 2023. Eva was born June 12, 1957 at Fredericton Junction to the late Helen Mabel Elizabeth Whittaker (Grasse) and late Walter Ernest Whittaker of Sand Brook, Wirral, N.B.

Left to mourn are step children; Terry (Dorothy) Taylor, Tony Taylor, Kathy (Dave) Clark, Margaret (Leon) Bourque, Garnet (Lorelei) Taylor and Connie (Mike) Bender, as well as sisters; Grace Stafford, Nora Sowers, Florence Whittaker and brothers; Ernest (Carolyn) and William Whittaker, their extended families, many nieces, nephews, grand children, friends and neighbours. Eva was predeceased by her husband Andrew (2019), step daughter Sherry and her sister Marion Graham.

She worked at N.B. Power Commission, KMart and the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital in various positions until she retired in 2017.

At an early age Eva was taught to help family, friends and neighbours. She played softball, skied and hiked when she was younger. She had a passion for photography and took courses at the Fredericton Business College. Eva and Andrew cared for many cats taking in strays, providing food, shelter and health care. They also enjoyed feeding many birds and squirrels.

The family is grateful for the loving care of her sister Nora for the past fourteen months as well as the special care providers from Extra Mural, palliative care and the pharmacy staff, all of whom went above and beyond to help with her care

At Eva's request there will not be any visitation or reception. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. For those that wish remembrances may be made to the SPCA, the Lakeville Corner War Memorial or a charity of your choice. Personal condolences may be offered at www.yorkfh.com
