Benjamin, Daniel "Danny" Alonzo

In loving memory of Daniel "Danny" Alonzo Benjamin, of Fredericton, NB, who passed away on December 20, 2023, at Hospice Fredericton. Born to the late Victor Benjamin and his mother on July 8, 1954, in Berwick, NS, Danny's vibrant spirit and love for life touched the hearts of many.

Danny cherished his connections with people and his church, embodying a spirit of adventure and a constant readiness for new experiences. His signature phrase, "Right on Tookie," accompanied by a cheerful thumbs-up, became a beloved part of his interactions.

He is survived by his special cousins, Tanya Mallaley (Darren) and their children, June Peterson and Andrew Mockler, as well as loving aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Danny was preceded in death by his aunt and chosen mother, Pearl O'Donell, and his grandmother, Frances Benjamin.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 4 to 6 PM. A Funeral Service in celebration of Danny's life will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB, on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 2 pm, with Pastor Matthew Woodward officiating. Interment is scheduled to take place in Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, at a later date.
