I was having a conversation recently with Nan, we were chatting about the school system and how bullying is and always has been a major issue. She continued with a story - “there was this one time that a family group was known for bullying and beating people up. One day it was my turn, they tuned me and I ran away. The next day I went back to school, knowing that they would come at me again. I grabbed a switch and beckoned them to ‘bring it on’ they did and I switched every single one of them and they never bothered me or anyone I told them to leave alone again.”
My Nan is and will always be a champion and hero in my life.
