Obituary of Marie Helen Carr

The passing of Marie Helen (Vandenbroeck) Carr of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Wayne Carr occurred on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  She was born on August 21, 1936 in Minto, NB, the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Put) Vandenbroeck.  Marie was an Administrative Assistant for the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources.  She was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church.

Marie is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Walsh (John) of Douglas, NB; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Ted, Joseph Jr. and Paul Vandenbroeck.

The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11am with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan and Father John Jennings as celebrants.  Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, remembrance may be made to Fredericton Hospice (Palliative Resource Network Inc.) or the Salvation Army.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
