Obituary of Joanne Mary Ballard

A blessing and loved by all who have ever had the privilege to know her. The passion for her family, all children and her pets will be remembered by everyone. From wild flowers and lilacs to the cucumbers, tomatoes and potatoes were her simple pleasures in life.

The passing of Joanne Mary Ballard of Fredericton, NB, wife of Frederick Ballard, occurred on May 19, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on January 14, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Stella (Furlong) Vickers.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Frederick Ballard; sons, Nevin Ballard and Jeff Ballard both of Fredericton, NB; daughter, Kimberley Ballard of Edmonton, AB; brothers, Johnny Vickers and George Vickers; sister, Sharon Vickers; grandson, Matti; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 4-7 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or the charity of the donor's choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
