Obituary of Todd Anthony Marven Goodine

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Todd Goodine “Big Red” of Fredericton, NB, on March 10, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.  Born on July 23, 1977 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Ronnie and Annette (Chiasson) Goodine.    

Todd had a great sense of humor, sharp wit about him and the kindest soul. Having ongoing health issues, he showed incredible strength and courage. He had a love for Grand Lake, from his younger years fishing off the docks to the later years enjoying his time with family and friends. Todd especially enjoyed spending movie time with his nephews. Todd will be dearly missed by his mom and dad; brother Tommy Goodine (Kyla); nephews, Matthew, Mitchell and Jacob; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Todd will also be missed by his fur babies, K.C. and Milo, who were his constant companions.  

The family would like to thank Todd’s Doctors, home care workers, Occupational Therapist, Extra Mural Nurses and the Dialysis Department for the exceptional care they all provided to Todd over the past few years.  

Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB, on Tuesday March 14, 2023 from 5 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Todd’s Life will take place from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 2pm with Rev. Andrew Vahi officiating. Those unable to attend in person may register to view the service online through the funeral home’s website (Register at the top of the obituary). Interment will take place in the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
