Rick, Gary and Families,
Yes...Your dad certainly was handsome, so as I read the other tributes I too smiled. I remember both mom and dad being generous with their kindness and hospitality. In particular I remember their anniversary celebration and how pleased I was to do my little part. ( I made the cake) You were blessed with wonderful parents and it was my privilege to know them.
Sincere sympathy,
Brenda Johnston Sansom

I would just like to send along my sincerest condolences to Clayton's family and friends. Though I didn't know Clayton really well, I was pleased and honored to have been able to carry on the business at Fox's Barber Shop since Clayton's retirement and continue to do so. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Uncle Clayton was a classy, kind, considerate man with a sense of humour and a tonne of patience. He always exuded a calm and collected air and his devotion to his family was palpable. Uncle Clayton was a great listener and a great storyteller.
In later years after Aunt Lib's passing, when he visited in Knowlton, I noticed how many women gravitated towards my uncle.
With less attractive options for older women, Uncle Clayton was an inevitable target. He and I shared an occasional smirk when I teased him on this point.
I always felt proud to have such a nice uncle in so many ways. I can still hear the lilt of his voice. I hope I never forget it.

Rick , Gary and families,
I know you and yours are saddened by the loss of your father and we join you in your grief for he was a much-loved brother to us and a much-loved uncle to our children and our grandchildren. We enjoyed the visits Lib and he made to our home in Knowlton, QC, and after Lib's death the fall gatherings that our siblings had at our home and Geri's condo. He had a sense of humour. Our granddaughter, Rebecca, remembers asking Clayton what fur Lib was wearing on her collar. Clayton replied, "I think its weasel". On one occasion returning from our fall gathering Clayton was driving just below Woodstock. Wilda sensed the car drifting into the left lane. She said very emphatically, "Clayton, are you awake?" He replied, "I am now". Our condolances to all of you.
Love, Walter and Marilyn

Hi Ricky and Gary!
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. What privilege to grow up across from you guys and your parents were such great neighbours especially to Mum and Dad. Your Dad was such a quiet, but caring gentleman. I know Albert missed him when he moved. Sending hugs to all your family.
