Wagnies, Paul Joseph

The passing of Paul “Papa Joe” Wagnies of Fredericton, NB, husband of Lorraine Wagnies, occurred on February 20, 2023 at Hospice Fredericton.  Born on October 18, 1957 in Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Paul and Louise (Boyce) Wagnies.  Joe work at UNB, for 28 years. He was an avid collector, buying and selling was his passion. Joe enjoyed his time with friends and co-workers.

Besides his wife Lorraine, Joe is survived by his children, Jason Wagnies, Brandy Powers (Kenny), Kristopher Wagnies (Misako) and Christine Wagnies; chosen daughter Hannah Wagnies - Adamen; his little buddy Kai; sisters Barb, Lynn and Paulette; brother Edward Wagnies; grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in- law Jim (Teri), Terri-Anne and Karl (Maggie).  Beside his parents, Joe was predeceased by his sisters Christina, Jane and Renee; parents-in-law Laurie and Patricia Van Iderstine.

A Celebration of Joe’s life will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB on Saturday February 25, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the IWK or a charity of the donor's choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
