Elizabeth was a natural storyteller. I remember sitting with her at a church breakfast and hearing a lovely story about her as a child either taking the train or following the tracks down to a blueberry patch with some other children. The older ones looked after the younger ones and at the end of their trip they all felt a sense of pride at being able to contribute a popular sweet dessert for their families. Elizabeth was a genuine person with a good heart whose stories about life in New Brunswick I will very much miss. My condolences to her family at such a difficult time.

I didn't know Elizabeth very well, but she was an active participant in our local Parkinson's Support Group until the pandemic affected us all. I am sorry we did not have a chance to talk with her since that time. My condolences to you, Ron, and your family.

Dear Ronald and Family, and all extended Family,
Elizabeth was a lady of many talents. We enjoyed your friendship at the Parkinson’s support group and also at the Elm Tree square dancing. We read her two novels where she shared her experiences. She had a deep Christian faith and we heard her sermons at various places. With our deepest sympathy ,

Mark, Joy, and Ronald,
My main memories of Elizabeth (Marks’s Mom, really, first in my mind) are of her patience with me and other neighbourhood kids invading her house; how she was always reading at least one book; and her kindness and genuine interest in people. Whatever my age, she was real with me, not talking down, but sharing herself, and asking questions because she cared and really wanted to know the answer. She was a good neighbour to our whole family.
I hope you are all doing ok as you face these days - though you knew they were coming, it’s still a shock. Your family is a strong one, and you’ve cared for Elizabeth and each other through tough times and good ones.

To Ron and family, I just learned of Elizabeth's death this evening. I served with Elizabeth on a few committees at Wilmot during my time there. What impressed me more than anything about Elizabeth was her ability to find a good reason to laugh when it was most needed as well as her ability to find sensible solutions to seemingly intractable problems. Put succinctly, Elizabeth was a joy to be around on a Sunday morning!
What impressed me most about Elizabeth, though, in addition to her many creative skills, was her ability to stand with the marginalized, to express strong arguments against injustice and to bear witness to the Affirming community at Wilmot. The memory of her work in that capacity will be a treasure to me.
Please know that she loved all of you, spoke of you often and took great pleasure in the simple joys of your lives. I will remember her with great fondness. Sincerely, Gayle MacDonald (Halifax)

Ron, I was so sad to read of Elizabeth's passing. We so enjoyed her ministry when she lead services for us at Penniac United Church. I remember you accompanying her and sitting at the back of the church. She was so gifted and well spoken. After she mentioned her first book, I read it and enjoyed it very much. What a talented lady. I am sure that you and your family have so many memories to sustain you in the hard times. Keeping you all in my prayers.

I am so thankful for her life, her wisdom, her spirit.
Elizabeth was "Seeler" to me as we met first in online community.
Her thirst for information, her willingness to share, her ability to communicate all helped to forge my respect for her.
I was thankful to be able to meet in person with Elizabeth when she gave a tour of her church, and also she & Ron on their trips to Ontario.
I am ever thankful for the time that she took out of her life to share and question with us.
peace to you all this day
May the stories shared bring a smile and a good memory.
