Obituary of Mark Eric Sherwood

Mark Eric Sherwood, 56, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Mark was born at the old Fredericton Hospital and grew up in Lincoln. He was the youngest son of the late James "Jim" Sherwood  and Lillian (Wade) Sherwood of Lincoln,  NB.

 

Mark was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 502, Saint John, NB.  He was a Red Seal Electrician having worked at Irving Shipyards, Sussex Potash Mine and out in Alberta. Mark's greatest love in his life was spending time with his twos sons, going fishing, hunting, camping or just enjoying Mother Nature. Mark had a very special place in his heart for animals. He belonged to a Fredericton group that looked for lost or missing animals, always wanting to help anyone needing it. Mark had a unique sense of humour and we will always remember his unique grin.

 

He is survived by his sons, Jordan (Millett) Sherwood and Owen Sherwood; his oldest brother, George (Marlene) Sherwood; sister, Connie (Bucko) Dawson; five nephews; two nieces; many aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by his brother, Michael "Mike" Sherwood.  

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Graveside burial will take place at a later date. Donations, lf you so choose, may be made to the Fredericton SPCA. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com. Rest in Peace "Little Brother".
