Obituary of William Murdock Lyons

LYONS, WILLIAM MURDOCK

With a heavy heart I announce the passing of my brother, William Murdock Lyons, on Thursday January 26, 2023 at the DECRH from advanced COPD. Born in Pembroke, ON, on October 15, 1954, a proud army brat, he was raised in CFB Petawawa, ON. He was the only son of the late Clements and Lila Lyons of Ludlow, NB. Billy loved playing guitar, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pepsi and the bible.

He is survived by his ex-wife Joyce Lyons; son Douglas Lyons of Windsor, NS; sisters Carol Lyons of Fredericton and Patricia Woermke (Larry) of Almonte, ON; his beloved nephew Jason King (Natalie and Carter) and niece Tracey Craig (Kevin and Mackenzie); nieces in Ontario, Jill, Jody and Jenna; many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his sister, Donna Vermeulen of Hamilton, ON; grandparents Murdock (Martha) Lyons and Jesse (Stella) Palmer.

William will be cremated and a celebration of his life and burial will be held this summer in Ludlow, NB. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
