MURRAY, FLORENCE VIVIAN

October 18, 1927 - January 11, 2023 (95)

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Florence which occurred at York Care Centre on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Born on October 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Chipman and Mary Randall (Burrell).

Florence is survived by her son, Malcolm (Gloria)  (Lakeville Corner, NB); daughter-in-law, Debbie (Milton, ON); granddaughters, Wendy Ebbett (Todd) (Fredericton, NB), Loretta Stevenson (Joel) (North Tay); grandson, Rob Stafford (Fredericton, NB); granddaughter, Tammy and grandson Walter (both of Milton, ON); four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Mitchel Ebbett, Cassandra and Nancy Martin; four great-great grandchildren, Laurel and Lennon Ebbett, Jonathan Storey and Jerrilynn Foster.

Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by her husband, Gerald (of 57 years of marriage); daughters, Phyllis Stafford (son-in-law, Jerry) (Minto, NB); Lorraine Jones (son-in-law, Steven) (Fredericton, NB) and son, Dale (Milton, ON); brother, Howard Randall (Fredericton, NB); brother, Robert Randall (Milton, ON) and sister, Isabel Smith (Fredericton, NB). Florence had been the sole remaining member of her immediate family.

Florence was born in Fernmount, NB, married and moved to Lakeville Corner, NB. She was a retired school teacher, member of the Four Lakes' Senior Citizens Club and the Lakeville Corner Women's Institute for many years. She loved bingo, her search a words and just about any social event she was invited to. Florence left a lasting impression on everyone she met never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was a wonderful cook and baker (Grammie, your hot cross buns recipe will live on). Florence loved her family and was very proud of each and every one.

The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and Dr. Kerr for the care and attention given to Florence during her entire time with York Care, from independent to assisted living to the Dixon wing. Special mention to her lifelong best friend Norma Randall and over the past few years Margaret Whitlock who took over the care for Florence once Lorraine passed.

Interment will take place in Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner, NB on June 1, 2023 at 1 pm with  Rev. Brian DeLong officiating, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Women's Institute Hall, Lakeville Corner at 1:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
