Claire changed my life.It was a time in my life when I needed a change.She talked me into taking the Real Estate course.That was aspecial time for me,meeting the others and we formed our special group the"USSC'. While I don't think Krista or I ever dared to use the term "grandma", Claire was part of our family for over 30 years and was always someone I admired. We were already teens by then and so our relationship wasn't ever one of sleepovers and bedtime stories but evolved over shared interests.
She and Krista shared a love of animals, jokes, and a good laugh. Claire and I shared stories, craft ideas, and I credit her dog training tips and advice with helping save Sawyer. I will miss her full-hearted laugh and the stories of her life's adventures.
I always knew Claire to be witty, a busy social butterfly, and a successful businesswoman. She was into more crafts and hobbies than I am and could give Krista a run for her money on mischief. She was one of the many strong independent women I've been lucky to have in my family.
Our Christmas Eves will not be the same without the twinkle in her eye as she waited to snag the best gift in the swap or captivated the family telling a story about something Doug and Jeff had done as kids.
Many people will miss Claire's wit and charm but this loss is most deeply felt by Harold, Jeff and Doug who are mourning the matriarch of their family.
