Obituary of Bette Louise Spencer-Sussey

Bette Spencer-Sussey of Fredericton, NB passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. Born on April 15, 1931 in Montreal, PQ, she was the daughter of the late George and Annie (Letson) Harrison.

Bette was predeceased by her first husband, Leon George Spencer in 1985, her second husband, James Earl Sussey in 2021 and by her son, George William Spencer in 2018. As the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her siblings, Gerald (Marion), Daisy (Howard), Charlotte (Peter), Lloyd (Margaret), Fred (Olga), and Kenny.

She is survived by her children, Randy (Georgette), Jerry (Wendy), Beverley (John) Peters; daughter-in-law, Carol and sister-in-law, Mabel (late James) Munn. She is survived by (and extremely proud of) her six grandchildren, Peter, Todd, Sarah, Lisa, Adam, and Mark, two step-grandchildren, Marshall and Austin; six great-grandchildren, Ruby, Faith, Addison, Finnley, Joseph, and London. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

As well as providing a loving home and raising four kids, Mom worked as a bookkeeper for the Victory, Chippin Brothers, and H & B Realty for many years. She was a very kind, intelligent, and loving lady who will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered by those who knew her.
