We are so very, very sorry to hear of Danny's passing. He was a very generous person to the seniors in our Community. Occasionally after a big snow storm, Danny would plough out our driveway and if we tried to pay him after he'd finished, he'd just wave goodby and leave. Blessings to Suellen and Steven and the rest of the family.

The Taymouth Community Association, friends and neighbors of the Ross family, offer their condolences on the passing of Taymouth Resident Danny Ross to his wife Suellen, son Steven, and other family members; we remember Danny with appreciation and sadness.
Danny had a passion for community and often spoke of those who had inspired this passion, ranging from his mother Greta, a great community volunteer, to Rolf and Bessie Munroe, his boyhood employers and caring neighbors.
Danny did our snowplowing from the inception of the Taymouth Community Centre and provided this service for free in the early days of getting the TCC established.
One especially vivid memory for many is the winters he used his snow plow in the construction of a snow hill for children to slide on during our March break Winter Carnival celebration. We also have heard of the occasions on which Danny would provide free snowplowing for a neighbor who valued his helping hand.
Danny was proud of Suellen's role as vendor and committee co-chair for the Taymouth Market, and his son Steven's place in the TCA as our current Board President and TCC-based Tae Kwon Do instructor.
We celebrate Danny's legacy of building and sustaining community.

My most sincere condolences to Danny’s family. Although I have not seen Danny in recent years I have thought of him often. We go back many years when he was my chosen mechanic at Sutherland Toyota and of our fishing trips with Bob and Barry. I have one chuckle I would like to share with you. Back in the early 80’s I had Luke, a large German Shepard dog in my car (unknown to Danny) when I went for service Sutherland Toyota. When Danny went to drive my car into the garage Luke sat up and poked his head over the seat to Danny. Not sure but Danny may have needed a change of clothing as he quickly exited the vehicle. They became friends after that.
