Obituary of Graham William Standen

The peaceful passing of Graham William Standen of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Ann  Margaret  (Arnold) Standen, occurred on December 11, 2022 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on May 12, 1934 in Thornton Heath, England,  he was the son of the late William and Eleanor (Newcombe) Standen. Graham was an engineer for many years, spending the last portion of his career with NB Power at Point Lepreau and at Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant in Romania.

 

Graham is survived by daughter, Carol Muncer (Gordon); sons, David Standen (Diane), Christopher Standen (Teresa); eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Graham was predeceased by his sisters, Shirley Davis and Dr. Gillian Paterson.

 

The family wish to express their gratitude to the nursing staff of 4NW at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital and at Windsor Court Memory Care Unit for their kind and compassionate care.

 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5-7 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 75 Main Street, Fredericton on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
