Obituary of Marina Marie Hache
Please share a memory of Marina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family of Marina Marie Hache, 63 of Fredericton, New Brunswick passed away suddenly at home on November 22, 2022. Marina was born on July 1, 1959, in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick. She grew up in Rivière-du-Portage, New Brunswick and moved with her family in her youth to Fredericton, New Brunswick where she built her life.
Marina is survived by her two daughters: Jessica (Kevin) Overdulve and Amanda Stewart. She felt blessed to have a grandson; Hunter Overdulve which she loved to face time with and was able to enjoy his first Christmas and Birthday. She was thrilled with the news of another grandchild coming in the New Year. She was predeceased by her parents Yvonne and Athanase “Joe” Hache. She is survived by her devoted siblings; Carmella (Ovila) Mallet, Jeremie (Roxanne) Hache, Stanley Hache, and Charlene (Rick) Rice. As well as her numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marina was the first of her family to graduate and was excited to start her career with the Wandlyn Inn. She stopped working to start a family and switched focus to raising her daughters and caring for the home. Her mental illness caused many challenges for her resulting in the end of her marriage. Despite all her difficulties she still looked after her parents until their passing, kept her head high and maintained a positive attitude towards life.
Marina will be remembered as a generous and kind person that always had a smile on her face. She would always help in any way she could; baking cookies for the neighborhood kids, listening to others during difficult times and being present for others in any way she could. She was always the first to volunteer for any fundraising. She loved crafts and craft fairs, which she turned her passion into a small ceramic business in her younger years. She was an avid bargain hunter, who was quite skilful at finding the best items at a yard sale or thrift shop.
The visitation will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, New Brunswick on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 12-2 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm, with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan as Celebrant. She will be laid to rest beside her late parents next spring in her hometown of Rivière-du-Portage, New Brunswick. For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations in Marina`s memory to any Mental Health organization. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorfh.com
