My sincere condolences to Robert’s family. Robert provided cleaning services at our condominium building in Edmonton. He was so cheerful, always had time for a chat, would leave little gifts on special occasions, took such pride in his work, and was just the nicest person! We miss him terribly and share in your loss.

To the siblings of Robbie Pond
Though I did not know him well, his generosity and kindness was well known. He loved his family and his chosen family. I heard so many stories of him making huge meals for people in need, he worked hard and gave back. You went too young Robbie. You will be missed by all your family. God bless and Rest In Peace!

Robbie is a 1st Cousin of mine, the last time I saw him was in Edmonton 3 or 4 years ago at my nephew Donnie's funeral, we had a quick chat Robbie looked and sounded great. he owned and operated a successful business.
Through another Cousin, I heard that Robbie was not well. I called to say Hi. He welcomed my call and chatted briefly about when we last seen each other. Robbie went onto say that his medical team didn't give him much hope that he'd last too long. I went onto ask him if there was anything that he needed that I (or we) could help him with or if he had support.
He assured me that he had no end of good close friends and support. He went on to tell me that it was mentioned a couple days earlier that he would need a hospital bed. He then said to me, "Guess what showed up this morning Jack? A hospital bed!"
I have been reading someone else's comments regarding going to school with Robbie and what a positive influence Robbie was in recent times he was involved in building a Kindergarten in Uganda.
I'm not proud to say, I didn't really know my Cousin Robbie, his kindness and generosity and helping those in need.
RIP Robbie, you have fought the good fight and deserve the rest.
God Bless, Jack, Rika and family

I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy to Robbie's family for the painful loss of a bright and shining light. I knew Robbie in school and he was fun loving with a great sense of humor and an even greater laugh. He was often on the receiving end of bullying and rude comments but he never let it stop him from defending others, no matter his own pain. I admired and respected the man and his flair for life. Sashey away!
