Obituary of Albert Horace Russell Lamoureux

LAMOUREUX, ALBERT

The passing of Albert (Ab) Lamoureux of Fredericton, NB occurred on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on August 31, 1942 in Ottawa, ON, he was the son of the Late Horace and Audrey (Shipman) Lamoureux formerly of Ottawa, ON.

He was predeceased by the love of his life, Jean (McKay) Lamoureux.  He is survived by his daughter, Karen White (Todd) of Essex, VT, USA, and his son, Darren Lamoureux (Debbie) of Plantagenet, ON; four grandchildren, Lianne, Mathew, Alexander and Colby, two great grandchildren, Logan and Laura; siblings, Nelson, Trevor, Caroline, Barry, Sandra, Mason and Robert.

Ab had a long and distinguished career as a fighter pilot in the Canadian Armed Forces that spanned 35 years, and provided the opportunity for Ab and Jean to see many different countries, experience new cultures and make new friends.  They often spoke fondly about their time spent in Germany and in the Middle East. 

At Ab's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA, Chalmers Hospital Foundation - Palliative care unit or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
