Obituary of Christopher Eggleton
The passing of Christopher “Chris” Bond Eggleton of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at his daughter’s home. Born on May 15, 1947 in Milton, ON, he was the son of the late Robert Eggleton. Chris served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Materials Technician and Instructor. Retiring in 1998 after 34 ½ years of service. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15. Chris enjoyed playing darts, badminton and bowling; his real passion was boating and fishing.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Vicki Rayner (Kevin) of Woodstock, NB; son, Rick Eggleton (Barb) of Fredericton, NB (their late mother, Carolyn (Lyons) Eggleton); five grandchildren, Colby Michael, Braden Evan and Avery Grace Rayner, Thomas Christopher “TC” and Jessica Arlene Eggleton; brother, Patrick “Pat” Eggleton of Milton, ON; several nieces and nephews; his beloved cat, Charlie.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date.
