Obituary of Mary Anne McCue
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mary Anne “Blanche” McCue, wife of Raymond McCue on Sunday, March 24, 2013. Born in Grand Falls, NB on November 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Clothilda (Picard) Cyr. Family meant everything to Mary Anne and nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with her daughters and going for a little shopping trip. Mary Anne was known for her fabulous cooking and her sweets will be missed by everyone.
Besides her husband, Mary Anne is survived by daughters, Lynda Godbout of Fredericton, NB, Darline Godbout of Grand Falls, NB, Sandra McDonnell of Brampton, ON, Lisa Murphy of Fredericton, NB and Elaine McCue of Mississauga, ON; several grand children, Bertin, Ghislain, Paulo, Cathina, Chantal, Marco, Vicky, Joshua, Dylan, Nicole, Tiana and Amanda; her brothers, Noel Cyr (Yvette) of Ontario and Alyre Cyr of Grand Falls, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Bertin Godbout; her daughter, Gisele St. Amand of Grand Falls, NB; her siblings, Edmond, Simone, Henri, Gerard and Lionel.
Visitations will be held at the York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 10 am with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Mary Anne will then be brought home to her final resting place in St. Andre, NB where a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Andre Catholic Church on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2 pm. Interment will be held at a later date. The family want to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Stephen Marrissette and Dr. Deborah Gowan and also to all the nurses and staff on 3 East Palliative Care Unit.
