Obituary of Donia Hewitson

The passing of Donia Marie (Boudreau) Hewitson, wife of Gerald Hewitson of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 14, 1936 in Pointe Verte, NB, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Ida (Legace) Boudreau. Besides her husband, Donia is survived by her sons, Michael Hewitson (Kathryn Billings) of Fredericton, NB and Jeff Hewitson (Nancy Léger) of New Maryland, NB; her daughter, Claudette MacDonald (Sheldon) of Marysville, NB; three grandchildren, Matthew, Lukas and Logan; sister, Blondine Roy (Robert) of Petit Rocher, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Leona and Irene; three brothers, Florian, Victor and Norbert. The family wishes to express their special thanks to Dr. Aslam, Dr. Moore and Nurse Lise in ICU. There will be no public visitation or service by request. A reception will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 3-5 pm. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
