Obituary of Nancy Arlene Goudey

Goudey, Nancy Arlene (nee: Jeffery)

March 1, 1950 – February 22, 2026

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy Arlene Goudey of Fredericton, New Brunswick on February 22, 2026, at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital with family by her side.  Born on March 1, 1950, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie (nee: Gallagher) Jeffery and Morse Jeffery. 

Those left to mourn her loss are her beloved daughter, Jodi Lynn Goudey (Michael McKinnon), her grandchild, Stella Grace Vienneau; her step grandchildren, Mathew, Colin and Brianna McKinnon and her siblings, Linda Muise (Guy), Ann Moses (Hank Nickerson), Stephen Jeffery (Cara), David Jeffery (Lisa), Donna Rossi (Tony), Bev Jacquard, Darrell Jeffery and Karen Atkinson. Nancy will be dearly missed by her brother-in-law, Stephen Taylor; her dear special friends, Gail Lohnes and her two sons, Patrick and Darren, Yvonne Bland, Bonnie Dempsey and many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends…just too many to list.

Nancy leaves this world to join her parents, Marjorie and Morse Jeffery, her sister, Diane Taylor and Nancy’s husband, Stephen Goudey.

Nancy moved to Fredericton in 1972, where she lovingly built a life that spanned nearly 54 years. What began as a new chapter soon became a true home away from home, filled with family, friendships, and cherished memories.

Nancy served a long career with the Bank of Montreal, where she was known for her professionalism and work ethic. After retiring from the bank, Nancy worked at Peters Meats for several years, where she made friends with her co-workers and customers.

In Nancy’s memory, a visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 4-6 p.m. and a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2 p.m. Pastor Chris Bennett to officiate. A reception will follow her service. Burial will take place in the summer of 2026 at Mountain Cemetery in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
