Darlene Elizabeth Jamieson

January 15, 1946 – February 12, 2026

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Darlene Elizabeth Jamieson of Fredericton, New Brunswick, on February 12, 2026 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 15, 1946 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Theresa (Beaton) Brennan and the late George Brennan.

Those left to mourn her death are her sons, Trevor Jamieson (Jenni) of Halifax, Todd Jamieson of Fredericton and her dear friend, Michael Haggerty; her sisters, Sandra Wood and Carol Young; her grandchild, Harlow; her nieces: Jennifer MacKinnon, Lori Curtis, Mandy Young and Megan Rosenthal; her nephews, Sean Young, Mark Young and Corey Young.

Darlene leaves this world to join her loving husband, Dougald Jamieson, her daughter, Denise Jamieson and her parents, Theresa and George Brennan.

Darlene was a dedicated employee and worked hard to help provide for her family. In her life she worked for many different employers, always put 100% into every role and naturally became a connector of people in every organization she worked with. For the last 20 years she was self-employed working in the mortgage business along side incredible leaders, mentors, and partners, especially Michael Haggerty. Michael and Darlene spoke near every day for the last 15 years, keeping each other in line and supporting each other in both business and life.

The deep love she had for her boys led Darlene to develop a love for basketball. It all started when her boys played in middle school and the love of the sport stayed with her for the rest of her life. Darlene loved being a grandmother, “Nan”, to her granddaughter Harlow. She enjoyed showing pictures and talking about Harlow to anyone who would listen.

Darlene loved to shop and more importantly find an incredible deal with her friends. She had a great sense of style, picture-perfect nails and flawless hair that helped her make a great first impression with everyone she met.

In memory of Darlene, a Funeral Church Service will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 12 noon at the Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 6476 Bayers Rd, Halifax, NS with a reception to follow.

Burial will be private with her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Darlene’s memory may be made to Fredericton Hospice.
