Obituary of Irvine Edward Munn

The family of Irvine Edward Munn are deeply saddened to announce his passing, which occurred on Monday, February 9, 2026, at his home in Taxis River, New Brunswick. Born on August 11, 1948, in Taxis River, he was the son of the late Gordon Raymond and Ruth Hazel Munn. Irvine worked as a labourer throughout his life, taking on various jobs over the years. He had a love for sports, especially baseball, and was a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Irvine is survived by his sons, Darren Parker (Julia Hood) and Jeremy Parker (Sandra Colford); his treasured grandchildren, Olivia, Emma, and Bryce; his sisters, Marjorie Munn and Lorna McKeown (Frank Kelly); his brothers, Otto Munn (Jolene) and Michael Munn (Judy); his sisters-in-law, Greta, Mabel, Donna, and Velvet; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Irvine was predeceased by his brothers, Harold Munn, James Munn, Darrell Munn, Thomas Munn, and Philip Munn.

Visitation will be held at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB, on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 12 - 2 pm, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2 pm. Pallbearers are Trevor Munn, Casey Munn, Cody Boucher, Corey Boucher, Joel Munn, and Jordan Brideau. A reception will be held at the Upper Miramichi Lions Club, 6438 Route 8, Boiestown, NB. Interment will take place at a later date in Parker Ridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
