The passing of Marie Arvilla (Pond) Scott of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late J. Keith Scott, occurred on Friday, February 6, 2026 at York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB. Born on April 9, 1932 in Ludlow, NB,  she was the daughter of the late Everett L. and Gertie A. (Hovey) Pond. Marie was a seamstress and enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, and painting. She was a member of the Boiestown United Church, Life Member of the UCW, Member of the Hillcrest #40 Eastern Star and the Boiestown Board of Trade.

 

Marie is survived by daughters, Penny Farris, Susan Coddington and Leitha Bibo (Paul); four granddaughters, 1 grandson, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Doris Ward; as well as several nieces and nephews.


Besides her parents and loving husband, Marie was predeceased by her daughter, Lynn Kedy; 1 great grandchild; sister, Joyce Bate; brothers, Amos Pond and Harold Pond; sons-in-law, Sherlock “Lockie” Munn, George Farris, and Wayne Kedy

 

A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 1 pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Boiestown United Church Cemetery, Boiestown, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Boiestown United Church Cemetery Fund or to the charity of donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
