Jane Porter

January 12, 1937 - February 4, 2026

The passing of Jane Yvonne Porter of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Gerald B. Porter, occurred on Feb 4, 2026 at the DECH. Born Jan 12, 1937 in Zealand, NB, she was the daughter of the late Watson and Lillian Brewer. Jane is survived by her daughters: Susan Porter-Norton (Abby) of Minto, Deborah Brewer (Allie) of Zealand, Dianne Porter, Carolyn Porter (Eddie); son: David Porter (Stacey) all of Fredericton; seventeen grand children; twenty-nine great-grand children; one great-great-grand child; sister: Elizabeth Porter of Springfield, along several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Jane was predeceased by a son: Basil Porter; daughter: Marguerite Lovely; five grandchildren: Arthur, Amanda, Christopher, Korin and Patrick; four sisters and seven brothers.

There will be no service at her request. Graveside service will take place in Scotch Settlement Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, The New Brunswick Kidney Foundation or charity of donor’s choice.
