Obituary of Martin Walter Beek
The passing of Martin “Marty” Walter Beek of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, occurred on October 27, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 20, 1958 in Devon, NB, he was a son of the late Elroy and Alice (Elliott) Beek. Marty lived a simple life, spending most of his time with family, friends,and focusing on his grandchildren. If he wasn't doing that he was working at the Veneer Plant in Napadogan until it closed or watching his beloved Boston Bruins or going for one of his famous walks. Marty was social and loved a good party with good food and a good story or two.
Marty is survived by his children, Ashley Merrill (Mark), Jeremy Beek (Marianne) and Darren Beek (Aidian); granddaughters, Willow and Miley; sisters, Debbie Beek and Carol Doucette; brother, Randy Beek (Shirley); chosen family, Debbie Johnston, Cathy Hunter (Vernon), Susan Kelly, Peggy Turnbull (Terry) and Trudy Turnbull (Arthur); several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Marty was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Hay; brothers, Hank Beek and Donnie Beek; chosen father, Max Turnbull; chosen brother, Larry Turnbull.
A Celebration of Life will take place from the Royal Canadian Legion Beaverbrook Branch 80, Nashwaak Bridge, NB on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Marty's family would like to extend their thanks to the Upper Nashwaak Community Outreach, the Stanley Health Center, Dr. Clayton and the staff of the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital.
