Obituary of Evelyn Pearl Stewart

It is with deep sadness that the family of Evelyn Stewart announces her passing on October 13, 2025, at York Care Centre in Fredericton, at the age of 94. Born to the late Lloyd and Myrtle Price, Evelyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children: Diana McKeen, James Stewart (Nilah), Carol Briggs (Vaughn), and Kenny Stewart (Tina); her siblings: Hazel Swazey, Rebekah Stewart, and Merlin Price; as well as eight grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Calvin; her children Lisa and Loren; her sons-in-law Doug Riley and Eulayce McKeen; her daughter-in-law Carol Stewart; and her siblings Verna Price, Ida Boyle, Norman Price, Mavis Long, and Gerald Price.

The family would like to give a special thanks to York Care Centre for their compassionate care of Evelyn for the last four years.

A graveside service will be held at Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11 am with Pastor Jack Leaman officiating.
