Obituary of Grace Darling Donally

The passing of Grace Darling Donally, of Boiestown, NB, wife of the late Vaughan Donally, occurred on September 19, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 15, 1943 in Holtville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Fairley) and John Reid. Grace is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mom was very creative in making quilts and knitting. She made many quilts for many people in her lifetime; every stitch by hand. Mom loved watching wrestling with much excitement. LOL! and we can not forget her faithful Saturday night hockey games cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs.  

Grace is survived by daughters: Annemarie Lovelace (Tony) of Holtville, Angela King (Gary Goodine) of Nashwaak Bridge; granddaughters: Angel MacLellan (Rodney), Katie Munn (Shaun Curry) and Lynn King; grandson, Andrew King; great-grandchildren: Landon, Macie, Cameron, Cade, Callen and Claire; brother-in-law Otto Amos, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Erice Donally; sisters: Reta Munn, Noel Moore, Dianne Amos and Clara Norrad; brothers: Owen, Fred, Elva and Karl Reid. A special thanks to niece, Anna Dale Amos, also homecare workers: Jeanette Munn and Tina Cote for their compassionate caring.

Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 24^th, 2025 at Miramichi Valley Chapel at 11 am. Burial will take place at Cameron Hill Cemetery, followed by reception at Upper Miramichi Lions Club at 2 pm. Pallbearers will be; Roger Lyons, Tony Lovelace, John Reid, Shaun Curry, Robert Munn and Willie Reid. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of a donor’s choice.
