Ward, Dorothea Muriel - Bell

The passing of Dorothea Muriel - Bell Ward of Stanley, NB, wife of the late Robert Ward, occurred on September 15, 2025 at The Nashwaak Villa Nursing Home. Born on January 14, 1936 in Stanley, NB, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Smith) and Alfred Warren. Dorothea was very family oriented, always willing to help out the community. She worked over the years as a cook in various restaurants and member of the (WWI) Williamsburg Women’s Institute.

Dorothea is survived by daughters, Gaye (Alcide) of Stanley, Natalie (Ron) McCarty of Fredericton; son, Bobby Ward (Nancy) of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Lisa (Robin), Diane (Adam), Tanya (Tim), Misty (Chris), Emma (Patrick), Timmy and Laura; great-grandchildren, Michelle, Brianna, Mallory, Brooke, Christian, Haley, Lexie, Liam, Lenni, Cameron, Cohen and Lilly; great-great-grandchildren, Adam and Millie. She was predeceased by her brother, William Warren, along with sister, Lillian Colford.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Fredericton, NB on Friday, September 19^th, 2025 from 12-2 pm immediately followed by Funeral Service at 2 pm with Pastor Mike Trail officiating. Pallbearers; Adam Dorcas, Jeremy Brewer, Parker Anderson, Robin Palmer, Chris Benoit and Hermel Duguay. Interment will take place following service at The Williamsburg Community Cemetery, Williamsburg, NB. The family would like to thank the staff of Extra-Mural, the Community of Out Reach and The Nashwaak Villa for all the wonderful care they shared with Dorthea.
