Obituary of Jonathan William Rocha

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan William Rocha, who left us far to soon on Monday, April 14, 2025. Born on April 30, 2008 in Fredericton New Brunswick.

Jonathan had a love for video games, especially when he could play along side with his friends, but what he cherished most was time spent with his family and the people he cared about. He dreamed of becoming a welder one day and had a passion for playing football, always looking forward to the future with quiet determination.

He will be forever missed by his loving mother, Sheila Doyle Rocha; father, Arthur Rocha and his sister, Jessica. He is also deeply mourned by his Nanny Alice and Yvon; Avo Adrianna Rocha; Aunt Lily and Uncle Jeff and cousins, Hannah and Erin; Aunt Filomen and Uncle Alan; Aunt Paula and Orazio; Uncle Edward and Aunt Corinna; Uncle Paul and Aunt Kelly.

Jonathan is reunited in Heaven with his beloved Papa Williams James Doyle and Avo Paul Rocha, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

Visitation will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 12 – 2 pm with the Funeral Service to follow immediately at 2 pm. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that all donations be made to the Mental Health and Addiction in Jonathan’s memory, a cause close to the hearts of those who loved him.
