It is with great sadness that the passing of Joanne Lee Rideout of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on May 19, 1936 in Marysville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leigh and Catherine (Allen) MacPherson.

Joanne was deeply loved and will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit. Her presence brought light to those around her, and her memory will be cherished always by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Joanne is survived by her children, Jennifer Ross (Matthew) of Gatineau, QC and Eric Rideout of Fredericton, NB, her grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Madison and Morgan. Great grandchildren, Kaiden, Addison and Sally. 

Besides her parents, Joanne was predeceased by her siblings, Terry, Buddy and Paul MacPherson.

Joanne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She was everyone’s sweetheart.

As per Joanne’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember her life. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
