Obituary of James Bradford Whalley
James Bradford Whalley
The passing of James Bradford “Brad” Whalley of Fredericton, NB occurred on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born on August 28, 1957 in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Peter and Shirley (MacDonald) Whalley.
Brad is survived by his children, Jessica Martin (Marty) and Peter Whalley and their mother, Ellen (Pugh) Whalley; granddaughter, Kate Martin; siblings, Mark Whalley (Tami) and Wayne Whalley (Lorraine); and niece and nephew, Julia and Dylan, along with countless other family members.
Brad had a love for reading and shared that with his family. At Christmas you could almost guarantee a book under the tree from him.
Brad was known by many different names, depending on who he was talking to but was most proud to hold the title of Papa to Kate.
For the past 20 years, Brad could be seen behind the wheel of the Ross Drug vehicle with his drivers cap on. Honoured to be part of the Ross Drug family, he proudly delivered to many of his favourite customers.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday March 8, 2025 2-4pm at the Marysville Heritage Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fredericton Public Library. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
