Obituary of Arlene St. Laurent

The passing of Mary Arlene St. Laurent of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Born on September 4, 1958 in Campbellton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jean Maurice and Mary (Parker) St. Laurent. Arlene worked as a 911 dispatcher for the RCMP, volunteered for many years on the Suicide Crisis Line and was a member of the OPAL program assisting with disabled children.
Arlene is survived by her siblings, Audrey Brown and Michael St. Laurent; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her many special friends.
Besides her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her sister, Ann Durette; and brothers, Roland and Roger St. Laurent.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the DECRH for the loving care she received and to Arlene’s friends as well as the staff at Ste. Anne’s Retirement Home for the care and support they have provided during her stay.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 1 to 2 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following in York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at 2 pm with Father Peter Osborne officiating. Interment will take place in Campbellton, at a later date.
