Obituary of Carla Mae Worrall

Carla M. Worrall (1937- 2025)

Carla Worrall (Lyons), born June 22, 1937 passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025 with her beloved caregivers of Paradise Villa by her side. Our mum woke up rejoicing in heaven with our dad following a journey with dementia.

She is predeceased by her husband Doug Worrall, her parents Letha & Carlos Lyons, two brothers Murray (Mina) and Earl (Florence) Lyons, in-laws Frank & Gertie Worrall, sister-in-law Marion Henderson, son-in-law Peter Piers and great nephew Rob Lyons.

She will be deeply missed by her children Ricky (Carole Goodine), Kelly Piers, Sandy and April (Toby Brooks) Worrall. Grandchildren Denica Worrall-Paul, Zachary Piers, Elyse Gullison, Thomas Worrall, Shain Piers, Maddison Worrall, 5 great grandchildren Marissa MacLean, Quinn Paul, Briar Worrall, Taylor Lavigne, Noah Piers, brother-in-law Ron Worrall (Charlene), along with many nieces and nephews.

After attending business college, Carla worked doing secretarial work for a law firm until her children began to arrive. She lived a life of loving her savior while raising her children. She gave her unwavering support to her husband in growing his business Doug Worrall’s Furniture & Appliances while they enjoyed life with friends square dancing, travelling in their motorhome to numerous destinations with Myrtle Beach being their favorite. After Doug’s passing in 2004 she filled her time volunteering for Heart & Stroke Foundation and Canadian Cancer Society canvasing for donations and enjoying her weekly Ladies Bible Study Group who were a tremendous support to her for many years. She later joined the Nashwaaksis Y Service Club, in which her husband had been a member and enjoyed volunteering and many of the other functions of the Club.

To abide by her wishes there will be no service, but her family will hold a private gathering later, to celebrate her life.

Although our hearts are broken, what rejoicing is going on right now in the Heavenlies. Our beautiful Mum has made her way home with no more dementia, no more struggles… Nothing by joy and peace. We will miss you all our days, but we will see you again soon.
