Obituary of Sharon Diane Haines
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Sharon Diane Haines of Fredericton NB. Sharon’s passing occurred Sunday February 23, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born October 13, 1946 in Plaster Rock, NB, she was the daughter of Jean Robertson and the late Keith Robertson.
Sharon is survived by her children Todd Myers (Becky), Misty Myers (Troy Clarkson), Cathy Haines (Trevor Hanley), grandchildren Lauren and Ryan Hanley, and Sebastian MacKay, sister Colleen Hill (Ed), brother Keith Robertson (Mona), and several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband (Bob), son (Chris), and brother (Kevin Robertson).
Mom was employed by the Province of New Brunswick. She retired from the Pensions Branch in 2001 after 25 years of service.
Mom will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family.
Mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October of 2018 – but cancer would not take her life! She faced many health challenges throughout the past couple of years and although she is no longer with us her legacy of strength and encouragement will carry on in the hearts of those she touched.
Mom was a woman whose strength and resilience was evident in every challenge she faced. After spending five months at Hospice House in 2021, she checked herself out to begin the second chapter of her life.
Gone but not forgotten.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral Home. Mom will be laid to rest at Sunny Bank Cemetery in the spring.
At mom’s request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice House Fredericton.
