I’m so sad to hear about the passing of the wonderful Linda Dicaire! She changed my life. When I arrived at my new elementary school I had no friends and I dreaded school but she was kind and comforting and she would walk around with me at recess and lunch time. She made me feel safe and feel like I belonged. I have had the fortune to get to see her in many stages throughout my life and she even got to meet my kids. She made such a difference in so many lives including my own. Sending all my love to her family. She was a real gem!

Pat and I want to share our condolences with Allison and her family. We were shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Linda, our neighbour and friend from the lake. It was a pleasureable hour or two we could spend sitting lakeside, sharing stories and laughs. It didn't take us long to learn what a caring and loving soul Linda was and to find out all the things and friends we had in common. She will be missed at the lake.

Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of Linda, or Mrs. Dicaire as I always referred to her. She was such a positive light at Park Street School, going above and beyond in her role as EA and also member of staff. She was always thinking of others and contributed to whatever event that was going on, even after her retirement. We always had great chats when I ran into her around town. I will miss her. Linda was such a thoughtful and caring friend. I met her when I went to work at park street school 28 years ago. We quickly became good friends. We had so much fun going to staff parties, mommas on Friday night, adventures with our students, tea parties, Christmas home tours, and lunch dates. So many great times creating wonderful memories. We went through some great times together and some not so great times. I will treasure the all the time I had with Linda and will miss her dearly!
Lindsay, Allison and Mark, my heart is with you as you work your way through the upcoming days, weeks and months ahead as the road twists and turns in a new direction. Sincere condolences to all of you and your families. Take care!

John and I were saddened to hear of Linda's sudden passing. We met Linda and John through the Cain's and have enjoyed many a gathering where we shared laughter and ideas with both of them. Since John has been gone we enjoyed Linda's charming wit and easy sense of humor anytime we were together. Linda was
"a people person" very talented in so many things, She had a great flair for decorating and was a talented artist and craftsperson. She was always happy to share these talents with friends and family.
Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

To Linda’s family,
We were neighbours on Broad St.
Two of my three children delivered the Daily Gleaner to Linda and John for many years.
Linda always gave the kids a beautiful Christmas Card with kind words.
I loved running into Linda at Frenchy’s from time to time and we chatted for at least twenty minutes every time.
She was a kind, funny, authentic lady.
Rest in peace Linda.

I have the sweetest memory of getting mail that was very unexpected on July 27, 2020. You see it was a Trying time for me and although I had not really met you Linda more than a quick hello wanna evening with my sister impression on me with your huge, warm heart and beautiful, smile. When I open my mail, what she will see you in the photo folks need to know how special that was to me . How was it that I was the lucky one to get a personalized hand, written piece of art, in both a plaque and an incredible card from you? It was incredible. You lifted my heart and I really know that it was a lot to do with my sister, Ferne Noonan, being one of your close friends that in some small way, you know that I was struggling. Thank you for being there, and I know you had your own struggles with the dreaded cancer that is always so hard for us to understand how and why we end up with this disease. But you did beat it. I’ll keep you in my prayers, but I know you have joined that handsome hibby guy again, so I’m telling the kids don’t worry your mom’s gonna be just fine. Much love to the children of this fabulous mom and grandmother, who gave so much of her self to others. My deepest sympathy to you all Audrey Fraser, Stratford, Prince, Edward, Island ( Ferne Noonans Sister)! My apologies the photos won’t load

Linda was a special soul. She was funny & kind, and extremely thoughtful & caring. We worked together years ago at Park Street School, and when I think of her - I smile, as more than anything, we had a lot of laughs together with our Park Street family. I was always in awe of her creative artistic abilities and how she shared this talent whenever she could to help others out or to make others happy. Linda had a lovely way with children, too - those students she was assigned to work with, and others she just went out of her way to support and encourage. Even though we hadn't worked together for years, Linda still touched base and reached out often. Recently she sent me a message just a week or so ago after seeing my daughter's wedding photos. She was so excited and happy for our family. Last January, when my sister passed unexpectedly, she sent me the most beautiful sympathy card with an extra heartfelt lovely handwritten note inside. I sent her a message right after to say how much I appreciated it. I also told her I have never forgotten her words to me at the funeral home after her husband John's passing. "Live your life! Do the things you always wanted to do. Do not wait!" Linda always lit up when she talked about the love of her life. I loved hearing about them driving the coastline in a convertible in California. "We felt like teenagers again," she shared. "I wish we did more of that." Linda touched many of us. Her kindnesses will not be forgotten. To Linda's family and friends, my sincere condolences and sympathy. Linda was a dear soul. She will be missed. ❤️ Coreen Hildebrand

It was a pleasure to have met Mrs. Dicaire and we will miss her smile.

She was a great friend who would go out of her way to make you feel special and help in anyway she could. Linda would even randomly buy you something she ‘couldn’t leave behind’ from a store. I will cherish the visit we had last December when she came to my home to lead a paint and sip for my daughter’s 9th birthday party. Linda was in her element painting with the children, encouraging them as artists, and we enjoyed reminiscing about the fun times at work. She lived her life to the fullest and I will miss our chats.
