Obituary of Brian Eldon Foster
The passing of Brian Eldon Foster of Burtts Corner, NB, husband of Debbie (Brewer) Foster, occurred on Saturday, August 26, 2023, peacefully at home. Born on May 28, 1950, in Lower Hainesville, NB, he was the son of Vivian (Jewett) Foster and the late Eldon Foster.
Brian was a successful building contractor who followed in the footsteps of his father. Early in his career he established Foster Construction Ltd and over the span of 30 plus years he, along with his crew, built hundreds of quality custom homes in Fredericton and surrounding areas. Brian was a hard and dedicated worker and took great pride in his work which showed in the quality of his craftsmanship and reputation. To this day, the connections he made throughout his career are lasting.
Brian loved spending time in the woods. He could often be found on a trail or back road regardless of the season, often with his faithful companion, Charlie, in tow. He enjoyed four-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and going out for leisurely drives. He loved the great outdoors, and it was good for his soul. He enjoyed spending quality time at the camp on the Taxis River watching the water flow by and especially enjoyed when family and friends dropped by for a visit.
Besides his wife Debbie, Brian is survived by his mother Vivian, his daughters, Tanya Rankin (Robert) and Jaime Foster-Stewart (Chris); son, Robin Foster (Eileen); brothers, Danny Foster and Kevin Foster (Janet); sister, Tammy Wade (Dave); grandchildren, Allan (Katie), Mitchell, Ryan and Josie; great granddaughter Aurora; special uncle Carl Foster; and his faithful companion Charlie.
