Obituary of Harry Russell Tuckey
Surrounded by family, Harry Russell Tuckey, GJ, CD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Veterans Health Priestman Unit. Born on September 4, 1930, he was the only child of the late Russell and Amy Tuckey nee Northrup born in Belleisle Creek, NB. He was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie Orma (Crossman), daughters Dale Lorraine Muir and Linda Joyce Allport, grandsons John Muir and Anthony "Tony" Muir, and his second wife Jane Margaret (Foster). Harry is survived by his only son Michael Tuckey (Patsy) and daughter Daphne Tuckey and grandchildren Kathleen Thorne (David), Denise Machum, Jennifer MacDonald (Paul), Christopher (Michelle) Allport, Kim Allport (Colin), Traci Ward (Chris) Kristeen Ward (James), Andy Tuckey and Laurie (Lawrence) Van der meer and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Harry was a member of the R.C.N. serving in squadrons VU-32, VS-880 and HU-21; he served 15 years and toured on the HMCS Bonaventure (The Bonnie). After his time with the R.C.N. he started his next career as a Jeweller. He studied and became a Gemologist, he taught at the

Harry’s wishes were for there to be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of York Funeral Home. A private burial will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Saint Simon and Saint Jude’s Anglican Cemetery in Belleisle Creek, NB. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Veterans Health Priestman Unit, the Salvation Army or Transition House. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
