Obituary of Mavis Darleen Roussel

The passing of Mavis Darleen (Stewart) Roussel formerly of McNamee, NB, wife of the late Gilbert Joseph Roussel, occurred on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton.  Born on December 12, 1937 in McNamee, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Frances (Muck) Stewart.

Mavis is survived by son, Gilbert Kevin Roussel (Carol Virginia) of Hanwell; daughter, Gale Clarke (Craig Friedt) of Calgary; four grandchildren, Gilbert Anthony, Krystal-Anne Darleen, Jaclyn and Candace; great-grandchildren, AJ, Atlas, Keyara, Emmalyn and Madyson; sister, Ermonie Price (Gerald); several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. Visitation will be held at St. James the Greater Anglican Church in Ludlow, NB on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 from 12 to 2 pm and will be followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev. Neil Osiowy officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
