As a family, we would like to announce the passing of a dear husband and father, Charles “Bud” Pond passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 22, 2023. He was 90. 

Born in his home in Marysville, Bud was a hard worker and spent his early days working as a weaver in the Cotton Mill before retiring from Chippin’s Meat Packing Plant in Fredericton. He also dedicated many hours of his life to working at the Olivet Wesleyan Church and serving the people of his community in any way he could! He loved his wife, his family, and his God! 

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 69 years, Wilda (Stairs); children, Debbie, Sharon (Laurie), Emily and Nathan (Ashley), Carolee and Jordon (Jenn), Andrew (Anne) and Levi, Brody, Cassandra (David), Jacob, Ethan, Stephen (Colleen) and Ryan, Jocelyn and Ashley (Cory); his sister, Barbara Roach and many nieces & nephews. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Myrtle; sisters, June, Betty, Bertha; his brother, Jack; and his sons in law, Mike Cummins and Rob Guptill. 

Visitation will take place at Crosspoint Church, 4 Coronation Court, Fredericton, NB on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Crosspoint Church on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2 pm.  Interment will take place in Olivet Cemetery. A Reception will follow at the church.  Thank you to York Funeral Home and the DECH for the care provided to us as a family.
