Obituary of Thomas Arthur Austin

With thanks for a life well-lived, the family of Thomas “Tom” Arthur Austin of Fredericton, NB, husband of Morinda "Rindy" (Hicks) Austin, announce his passing on Friday, July 7, 2023 after a sudden illness. Born on November 22, 1944 in Yarmouth, NS, he was the son of the late Thomas and Evelyn (Nichols) Austin. Tom is remembered as a loving and dedicated family man, lifelong educator, active community supporter, and all-round good guy!

In addition to Rindy, Tom is survived by his children, Erika Allen (Garth), Elizabeth Wilcox (Chris), and Evans Austin (Krista); grandchildren, Tomilyn and Cash Allen, Jeffrey and Janaya Wilcox, Ella and Brooklyn Austin; siblings, Peggy White and Barb McBean; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by his in-laws: Neil and Mary Hicks, Ralph White, and Tina (Hicks) Valente.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Nashwaaksis United Church, 46 Main Street, Fredericton, NB on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2 pm. Family flowers only.
